1)You agree, through your use of this YaBB forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually explicit, pornographic, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any US law. You agree not to discuss "hacks", "cracks", "warez" and other illegally pirated software or ways in which such things can be acquired or advocate their use or acquisition on this forum. You also agree that you will not link to such material in your posts, signature or profile.
2)You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. In the case of citing articles or information from other sources, please include the source information (such as author or publication) and any links to the material. Excessive spam, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to The Oasis Forums.
3)Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on this forum. Please remember that we are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of The Oasis Forums. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator of this forum immediately. We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy goes for member profile information as well.

5)You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to never use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum. In addition, you agree to maintain only ONE account on this forum.
After you register and log into this YaBB forum, you can fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information we deem inaccurate or vulgar will be removed..
Should you disagree with any decision of a moderator regarding a rules violation, please take the discussion to pm or email with them. DO NOT DEBATE THE ISSUE ON THE FORUM.
6)Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that banning from this forum is warranted or we decide to contact your ISP. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement, but all such decisions are at the discretion of the administrators.
Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browsers cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.
7)Avatar images: All of the avatars that we provide are preset to apx 100x100. If you use your own, please be aware that the YaBB software will automatically resize(up OR down) it to 100x100.
Signature Images: In an effort to keep The Oasis Forums dialup friendly, we ask that your sig images be no more than 150x250, and no larger than 150k.
8)The adminstrators have the final say in all matters related to The Oasis Forums.
